I need to import old JIRA tickets , from my old project

Hi Team,

In order to try to bridge the User Story gap for the new upgrade project, I will be reopening old projects and cloning those stories to place into the new Project.

I thought of doing an export and import, but since JIRA have changed the format of the Description field, the full summary is not being exported over in its entirety.  Which means, I would still have reopen the tickets to edit them in a way so they could be exported.  

can someone help me on this.
