I need to make an workflow to send issue to test team when resolved, what's the best way to do this ?

Hi,

I would like to make an workflow where issues that are resolved have to be reviewed/tested before close. I need to assign the issue to a tester. How are you doing this ? What is the easiest way to accomplish this ?

I am thinking that when an issue is resolved is should be in a status "untested" or "not validated" then i as PM find those issue and distribute them to testers. I would like to be able to assign the issue to an tester when trying to move it's stage to Validation.

And during the transistion to the new status, you could also auto-assign the issue to the testing group so that they get notified about a new incoming issue for their group.

You might not need a separate status for this. Just assign all the resolved issues to testers. Let them verify the fix and close it if working. No change to the workflows in this case.

But if you need a separate status, it is just a matter of modifying the workflow to add that status between Resolved and Closed. Your call!
