Hi there, we currently have 135 users in our Jira system, but we are interesting in the add on for Salesforce, but this will only be needed by 10-15 user maximum. Is this possible to do as we don't need all 135 users to have this addon for Salesforce.
If someone could advise I would be grateful, as when I looked into it, it looked like it was an all or nothing type license.
Thank you
Hello @Nicole Jackson
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
To purchase licenses for apps you must purchase based on the number of licensed users of your Jira product. If you have 135 licensed users, you must purchase a 135-user-license for the app.
This is usually explained under the Pricing tab for the app in the Atlassian Marketplace.
Sometimes apps have include the ability to limit which users can access the functionality by including their own permissions configuration. That is an app-specific feature though. You need to examine the documentation for the app to see if it includes that functionality.
You may want to contact the support team for that app (contact info will be on the Support tab for the marketplace listing) to get more authoritative information on that topic.
Welcome to the community.
Atlassian's license model is indeed all or nothing.
You need to acquire an app based on the license tier of Jira.
There are apps that incorporate their on user permission options, if the app that you wold like to use you could specify who might use this app.
But you will need to purchase it based on the Jira user tier number.
