I see story points in two different places on our Sprint Board Cards

Per the screenshot, I see our Story Points from the Story Point field in two different places. If you hover over each of them, the alt text both reads "Story Points". 

Any idea how to get rid of the one not in the pill?

Are you working with a board for a Company Managed project? If so, then likely the one that is not a pill is appearing because you have specified in the Board Settings > Card Layout extra fields that you want displayed on each card.
