I want different epic colors

Hi,

Is there a way to change the 9 available epic colors? The problem is that some of these colors are very similar and one can't tell them apart.

There is an issue by atlassian but it won't be implemented any time soon, it seems: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-59765

I read something about making the Epic color CF screen available, but I'm not sure how to do this.

However, after looking into this conversation it seems the method has been broken since 2014. I have tried to implement this myself with no positive result. 

Currently, I do not think this level of customisation is available though I am not sure myself as I only have access to a JIRA cloud instance. Hopefully someone else has accomplished this either on JIRA server or JIRA cloud.
