I want to know who made the changes to the "Business Functionality D" field for a JIRA story? To describe it more, there is a JIRA story which has a field "Business Functionality D" and i need to know who ticked this field, i mean the person who approved the story for development.

How can we do this ? Please help on this.

Thanks & Regards,

All changes to fields are recorded in the issue history, which appears in a tab on the issue view.

If there are no changes recorded for the field, then it was set as the issue was created.

Thank you for you input but I am looking for some query which can help me find this and extract as an excel report for stories in bulk. The way which you mentioned is convenient for less number of stories but i am trying to find this for stories in hundreds and thousands, Any idea for any such query or any other alternative to find this ?

Ah, you didn't mention searching in the question.

There's no way to search for content changes of custom fields yet.  There is a "was" type operator, but it only works for a handful of fields at the moment.

I can't think of a way to search for thousands of changes without writing code to find them.
