I want to restrict the removal of completed sprint date from the Sprint field in JIRA. 

ie. If I had 4 stories in one sprint (Sprint1) & that sprint got completed with one story Story4 still in Inprogress status. I would want the Sprint field in Story4 to be editable providing the data from the open & future sprints but should not allow the Completed sprint data to be wiped out from the Story4 . ie. At the end of edit of Story4 issue, I should be able to assign Sprint2 to it along with the existing data Sprint1.

Hi @Sapna Mogili,

If I got your question correctly, your requested behaviour of "retaining the earlier sprint values" is observed when you close the sprint and move the unfinished stories to the next sprint. You will see something like this:

On click:

If you edit the field before closing the sprint, then the story will be removed from the sprint1 and added to sprint2 (replacing the sprint value). Hope this helps!
