If I upgrade JIRA Software, will automatically upgrade JIRA Core?

Jesse Callejas January 13, 2016

I just updated my JIRA Software to version 7.0.5 however looking in to: Administration --> System --> Applications  --> Versions and Licenses, the menu there tells me that my JIRA Core version is 7.0.2 and it shows a download button? I believe is confusing and I don't know what to do. Do I have to Download JIRA Core and upgrade it by itself? do I even need to do it, now that my JIRA Software version is up to 7.0.5?

Any help that you may provide, for little that it might be is welcome.

Thanks

Jesse

Thanks for your answer. So why is the JIRA Core download button there? is it just in case I don't have JIRA Core installed? Because I pressed it and it sent me a message saying that to get the latest JIRA Core I need it to download it, and it presented another button to get the download.

Thanks again

Jesse

You do not need to upgrade JIRA Core separately. There is a bug in UPM, which should be fixed now, that gives this error message.
