Impediment Flag - Comments section

When I add a Flag (Imepdiment) to an issue when using the Board, it provides a Pop up where It adds a Flag in the Comments.

When I add it through another way I do not get the Pop up?  Why?

Also, how can I show the Flag pop up comments in the Timeline view?

The "Flag comment" is not a special field.  It is just storing it in the regular comments section. Not sure what you mean with adding a flag in other way?

The Timeline view in a board does not offer to display any other fields.

You seem to be on Jira Cloud Premium in which you can create a Plan which is a more advanced timeline view.  Then you can display the Flagged field, but not a comment.
