Implementing new customized workflow to project will affect the other project/workflow?

I have created new project by taking reference of other project (used share settings with other projects checkbox option) and it already has two workflows. Now my project has existing workflow with issue type : Task, Sub-Task and Bug. I want to add new customized workflow to Task issue type.

My question is if I assign new workflow to Task issue type, will it affect the project from which i have taken reference. Or will it affect the already existing workflow issue type in other projects.
