Implementing the QA Estimate as a sub task

We are trying to solve the issue with adding QA (specifical estimation) to the work in sprints
We have encountered the problem:
We have a story "implement the feature", refined it, and have a general understanding of what needs to be achieved in this story. It gets assigned to the developer during sprint planning with an estimate, let's say 8 hours (we do not use story points for contractual obligations), after that a QA engineer is creating a subtask with an estimate of Testing for roughly ~ 4 hours.
The problem consists of the "view summary of assigned work" will only show the work of a developer (showing that the developer has the remaining 8hours of work)
So effectively no work for QA is presented and QA engineers must manually count how many hours They have and if they are able to do more work
