Importing Smartsheet and Trello without losing our comments

We have two teams that we need to migrate to JIRA from their current platforms of Smartsheet and Trello.

Our JIRA admins have a very strict process of how to deal with importing outside data, referring me only to the Atlassian documentation about preparing a CSV for import.

I noted in a separate Smartsheet forums post that Smartsheet can export to Excel format, but it will export Sheet data on one tab and comments on a second tab. As a CSV is only one tab, it seems as though JIRA cannot import the comments. Is that true?

Has anyone been through this before that can provide some tips or guidance?
