Importing sub-task issues before parent task type issue

I am doing a migration from Assembla to Jira.

In Assembla we have sub-task #50 linked to parent task #90. Transition of #50 to sub-task type might happened after creation of Task #90.

Now I am facing issue while importing tickets in to Jira, I can not creat sub-task before its parent ticket.

Possible solution I am seeing like - create #50 with task type and later on change its type to sub-task and associate/link with parent.

If any other option/way that could handle this situation easily without making so many efforts.

How are you doing the import? If you are using CSV, you can import them together but subtasks should go along with parent tasks or after parent tasks.

If you want to import just the subtasks first, the only option is to convert them to subtask at a later time.
