I have performed a PoC of Xray for Jira Cloud and I am looking for a solution for the following situation:
1. While importing the existing scripted test type, unstructured test type and etc, and importing test automation result from test framework from Testrail to Xray for Jira Cloud, it is needed to map “the testrail test case key” with "Xray test case key".
Because we used “testrail issue key” to map a manual test case with a automated test case name that consist of test title and test case key. Testrail
- reads test case name property,
- parses title and test case key
- gets Test Case key
- maps the automated test case to existing test case with test case key.
Xray imports the existing test cases with "a new key" starting with Jira Project Key. I couldn’t find a solution for mapping Testrail test case key with Xray test case key.
Do you have any recommendation? or Have you faced with this issue? How did you solve it on your side?
