In Jira JQL syntax what does the keyword updated mean?

Chris Stamp June 15, 2015

I need a function that can  search all issues and return a list of them that have been worked on that month.I am using updated in a query to query for all issues that have been worked on "last month". The  current 6.2.3 version of JIRA does not have a JQL Function for this currently. Does updated give me all issues that have had something saved to them or more particular with the worklogs?

Updated is the updated date you can see on the top left of the issue view.  It's updated on most issue changes (watchers, associated issues and stuff like related builds are not changes), which means all the directly editable fields, workflow transitions, comments, and most sub-task actions

How can I query issues that have been commented on or worklogs have been entered in a given time period? I am using the JIRA 6.2.3 API
