We are using Jira with Xray for test management and we would like to use Confluence as central repository for the test data, which is stored in tables.
Table Filter and Charts for Confluence provides Table Excerpt and Table Excerpt Include macros, which to the best of my knowledge can only be used in Confluence.
Table Grid Editor for Jira allows using external data sources for tables in Jira, but it does not support using a Confluence table as data source.
Is there any way to use the same data for a table in Confluence and a table in Jira?
Hi @Marduk Bolanos ,
We can suggest fulfilling all the standard and custom Jira fields without any enrichment and display the issues via the Jira Issues macro onto your Confluence page.
Then you may combine your Jira Issues macro with a manually created table and add whatever information you need right in Confluence. Please, check the second part of this community thread for the details.
And you may always follow our documentation to go further and create Jira dashboards based on your Jira Issue macro in Confluence.
Hello, @Marduk Bolanos.
Today, in a few hours, I reread all the available discussions on the forums, on the subject of "Is it possible to insert an excerpt or a quote (part of an article, not the whole) from Confluence into a task in Jira."
Result: At the moment, the current function is not implemented.
However, on February 9, 2022, in an article about the Smart Link presentation, atlassian product manager @Lennon Liao
wrote that he would consider adding this feature in the future.
