Include Last Comment | Add Post Function To Transition - Notify HipChat

I have added a post function to a transition (notify hipchat) which currently posts to hipchat when the transition is used. The stock options in Jira allow me to insert $issue,  $issueKey,  $issueSummary,  $issueType,  $assignee, and $user. I would like to be able to include the last comment. Is there a way to do this? Thank you in advance for your help.

Hi Ryan,

The Notify hipchat Post-function doesn't seem to allow the comment variable for messages as the other variables there are pre-defined. Furthermore, when someone leaves a comment, this option is rather configured from the Advanced Settings on the HipChat Integration https://<your-domain>.atlassian.net/secure/ConfigureHipChat.jspa?projectKey=<Project-Key> rather than from the Post-function. However, if enabled any comment posted will be sent as notification to your HipChat Room.

Likewise, attempts to include a variable to get the comment doesn't seem to work either. Is there a specific use case that you have in mind? Please do let us know.
