Inserting the same external link twice in a single field.

I am attempting to insert the same external link at different locations within the description field however JIRA does not allow me to do this.  Only the last inserted link remains.  The first disappears.  Is this expected behavior?

A few troubleshooting steps to help narrow this down:

• What version of jira are you on? 
• What is the render on the Description field currently set to?
• Check for local Browser related conflicts
• Does this occur in add-on safe mode?
