Insight application attributes (schema) and documentation/monitoring

We are hoping to begin some application monitoring and need to document our applications within Jira Insight. I am needing some feedback and general guidance on the best way to begin documenting company wide applications and their dependencies within Jira. Has anyone been there done that and can share with me some of the important attributes? 

Need help with what attributes to put into the schema, how to normalize and relate applications to vendors, dependencies on other software etc...
