Hi,

I'm trying to install JIRA 4.2.4 with Apache Tomcat 6.0.29. Using Postgres 8.4 With JAVA 1.6.14 on Redhat 6.2.

I'm starting JIRA up and catalina.out is reporting a sucessful start. "You can now access JIRA though your Web Browser"... however when I hit the page I just get the default tomcat web page.

Why is this?

What do you need from me to help diagnose why this is happening!

Thanks,

Did you create a jira.xml or ROOT.xml in conf/Catalina/localhost?

This will define what is either in the /jira context or the root / context

See - http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Installing+JIRA+on+Tomcat+6.0#InstallingJIRAonTomcat60-5ConfigureJIRAsContextinTomcat

Grea thanks for the help, this fixed it. I just renamed jira.xml to ROOT.xml and changed the context path from "/jira" to "/"

Thanks,
