My company uses Jira for tracking plans, tasks, milestones for development and other projects. We want a very simple linear graphic (simple gantt) to represent project phases on one bar / line. See the image included for an example.
Right now we are using a google sheet, updating delivery dates by hand, and color-coding project phases. Seeing that Confluence is adding table graphics, I wonder whether I might be able to automate getting dates from Jira, putting into a confluence table, and generating a stacked bar chart, thus showing a summary of every project on one page.
Appreciate your thoughts, advice, creative ideas.
Hi @Ellen Grace Henson ,
We can suggest trying our app - Table Filter and Charts for Confluence.
Its macros allow you to use data coming from the Jira Issues macro and create a dynamic Gantt Charts for your projects. Please check here for an example.
Please note that for Cloud you won't be able to nest macros directly, you'll need to use the Table Toolbox macro to wrap macros one into another. Other steps will be the same.
The add-on is a paid one but you'll have a free trial. And if your team has 1-10 Confluence users, it will be completely free.
