What would we have to pass in the JSON body for a POST to have a JIRA ticket created from Zendesk?
This is Syed @ Exalate.
I appreciate that you are taking a DIY approach to integration, but we specialize in providing this integration OOTB. In addition to saving a huge amount of development time, you get the advantage of having zero maintenance headaches. Any changes to the platforms or APIs will essentially be handled by our Engineering team.

Hi, @Nick Geniusz
At ZigiWave, we aim at saving time and efforts, that's why we have developed ZigiOps. It's a customizable solution that will help you integrate Jira and Zendesk instantly. It allows the transfer of default and custom fields between the systems and syncs them in real-time. It will automate ticket creation in no time. Our tools reads the schema dynamically and can transfer any fields. You can also tailor the integration to fit your needs.

At a minimum you need to include the projectId, issuetypeId, summary, and any required system fields. Your other option would be to use the official Zendesk integration that Zendesk provides for free.
