Invalid custom field value passed xxxx expected values are id [value],-1 for multiselect

I have created custom multiselect when I tried to select multiple options and try to create issue it is throwing the above error Invalid custom field value , Can anyone please help me on this

This is an error message that used to be thrown by some old versions of Jira Server/DC when people had created select list options with silly names (humans expect to see proper words as option names, like red, green and blue, not badly half-coded things like [red], {green}, and -blue-).

Are you really on Cloud as you have tagged this question?  

What, exactly is the format of the names you've got for the available options in your multi-select list?  Plain text or do some of them have pointless punctuation?

I do face this issue on a Jira Data Center version 9.4.14 : what do you suggest to fix it please ?
