Invalid release date format when closing a release in 6.4 Cloud

Hi,

When we try and "release" a version, we get an invalid date error like this-

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Invalid format: "12/12/14" is malformed at "12/14"

There are numerous online answers where the solution is listed as going to-

JIRA Administration >> System >> General Configuration >> Advanced Settings

However, I can't find "Advanced Settings" under General to save my life. Has this moved? Where can I set the format for this date?

Hi Gavin,

Seems like you're being affected by the bug JRA-42038. Until the bug is fixed, the workaround is to set the _Day/Month/Year Format_ to the default setting. 'dd/MMM/yy'. You can change the date format by doing the following:
- Access JIRA
- Click on the cogwheel icon
- Click on System
- Click on Look and Feel
- There you'll be able to change the date format
