Investigate the API for checking sites using the new payment system

We’re looking for a way (via API or other method) to detect whether a particular Atlassian site is using the new user-based billing system.

This would help us apply conditional logic during installation or promotion flows.

After reviewing the latest documentation as of May 2025, we couldn’t find any official API that provides this information.

Is there any API, internal tool, or workaround that can help with this?

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

We have API endpoints to retrieve the product data and some of the user related information (for managed users mostly).

AFAIK, billing related information can't be fetched via APIs. However, you may try contacting the Atlassian billing support for an advice on this: https://www.atlassian.com/company/contact/purchasing-licensing?redirectSource=sac-wac-redirect#/
