Is is possible to have an issue collector field pull values from a SQL DB?

We have a list of applications and specific team names existing in a SQL data base that we would like to appear within a drop down list in an issue collector. Is there some method that I can accomplish this task?

The third party app Elements Connect allows you to pull information from external data sources and display them inside Jira. SQL databases and many others are supported.
