Is it Possible to rename the Active workflow? Let say I have created a workflow and associated to one project and now I wanted to rename the workflow but the system is not having the option to Edit name of the workflow, How to do this?
Hello @Naveenkumar ,
Good day! Welcome to Atlassian community :)
In Jira Cloud, the ability to directly rename an active workflow is not currently available.
This limitation is due to the way workflows are managed within the system. However, there is a workaround you can use:
1. Copy the Active Workflow:
2. Rename the Copied Workflow:
3. Assign the New Workflow:
4. Publish the Changes:
This process allows you to effectively rename a workflow by creating a new version with the desired name and replacing the old one in the workflow scheme.
We do have a Feature request for the same which you can track:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-19813
Thank you!

Hi @Naveenkumar
Welcome to the community,You cannot directly rename an active workflow in Jira,
Jira doesn’t allow renaming active workflows to avoid breaking references in active workflow schemes. But you can work around this by copy the workflow and then you can rename the workflow name and then Click Edit and replace the old workflow with your new one in workflow scheme of the project.
Hope this helps
