We are planning to have three boards in one project. Two out of which will be scrum and one kanban. Following are my questions:

1. Can i have different start and end date for each board's sprint. Like if board 1 has start date 1st Aug, can i have start date for board 2 as 4th Aug? Also, will kanban board also display a sprint cycle like other two scrum boards?

2. Can i generate separate burndown/velocity reports for each board respectively?

3. Can each board have there own workflow?

4. Will components solve the purpose of limiting bugs to be created for a particular board rather than being displayed in each board. Also, will components limit the backlog view to each board rather than being available to all three boards.

Hi @Abhi,

Welcome to the Atlassian Community.

Short answer is yes, you can have sprints starting on different dates within the same project. Just make sure that the sprints have unique names, since they are not tied to a specific project, they are available to the whole instance. And yes, each board has their own reports and columns/workflows.

Issues displayed on a board, including the backlog, is controlled by a query, so yes, you could use components as a way of sorting out on which board the issue will end up on.
