How to add user to watchers, when this added a comment ?

"Add comment" isn't workflow transition - workflow post function isn't a suitable solution :(

I would like to come back to this question, one of my users said JIRA doesn't add watchers while adding someone's username in comment. Was this working even?

You can use the Participants custom field and add them to the notification scheme, which isn't really watchers.

Or use the Add Watcher listener for proper watches.
