Is it possible if we can fetch all issues of project of two different instances onto one instance?

MANISHA KAUSHIK April 1, 2020

I have a project "ABC" on one of my GRIP instance 1 and same project "ABC" on my GRIP instance 2.

Now, Is there any way, to build a structure that is showing Jira Issues from both my GRIP  Instance 1 and 2? I mean if we can build a join view on the issues in project "ABC" on GRIP instance 1 and project "ABC" on my GRIP instance 2.

Is it possible if we have to fetch all issues of both these project of two different instances onto one single instance?

Is there any possibility to do it?

Hi @MANISHA KAUSHIK

I can think of two possible approaches how to tackle that situation.

  1. Use an issue sync app
You can use an issue sync app that will synchronize your issues from one Jira instance to the other and keep them in sync. That way, you have the usual overview of all your Jira tickets in that instance.
  2. Use an app like Watchtower
Watchtower gives you an overview of issues across multiple Jiras. I haven't used it myself but you might want to give it a try.

I'm working for a team of one of the issue sync apps (Backbone Issue Sync for Jira) and I'm happy to answer you all questions in detail regarding that solution path.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Not from within JIRA. There might be a plugin that allows that, but I doubt it. I suspect you'll have to build a web site or application that can logon to multiple JIRA instances, pull issues as desired and present them on a consolidated screen.
