Our business uses Jira Service to log tickets about bugs and also enhancements. What we would like to do, depending whether the end user has selected 'bug' or 'enhancement' is duplicate the ticket into our sprint backlog if it relates to an enhancement ticket. Do you know if this is possible?
Currently I need to review Jira Service tickets and manually copy the enhancement tickets as a new user story in our sprint backlog and it would be great if all enhancement tickets went straight to our backlog.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, even if someone just confirms this is not possible.
Thanks!
Hi Jodie,
It's possible to set an automation on the Service Desk project to create a linked issue on a Jira Software project:
Please, give it a try and let us know how it goes.

Angélica
Hi Angelica, thanks very much for your response. The problem we have is that the Jira software project is not showing in the create issue Project drop down. How can we make Jira Software Projects appearing on the list?

Hi Sophia,
For the projects to show on the list, the agent that is creating the automation must have access to the Software project and have the permission to browse projects as well.

Angélica
