Is it possible to add comments and attatchments to an version (release)?

We use versions (releases) to bundle our changes. We would like to add comments and attachment to the release, because our manager needs approve the release (and we need to document this). 

Does anybody know if it's an option to add comments and attachments to a version (/release)? 

We use Jira Software 9.4.15

It's not possible to add comments or attachments to a version/release of a Jira project. This type of information/content normally likes to have a home in an issue of some type.
