Is it possible to change color scheme of a project in JIRA like Confluence?

In confluence we can change the color scheme for a space such that the to bar has a different color. There does not appear to be any way to do the same thing by project in JIRA other than changing the global color scheme for every project. Am I missing something?

Right - like Nic indicated, you can change the colors scheme for the JIRA application globally (System --> User Interface --> Look and Feel) but not on a per project basis.

No, you are missing nothing, the colour scheme for Jira is global.
