Is it possible to change the order/remove boards listed under the Board dropdown?

In my board drop-down list, the boards are in an order that is not ideal for searching. I would like to rearrange them to make better sense. Is this possible or would they need to have names adjusted for alphabetic sorting? 

For rough example, board 5 and board 6 are in their incorrect spots. Is it possible to adjust them?

yes, in each board check the general settings, the same place you control the filter-query. In that same tab you'll see "Location", and you can specify a new location.  You'll need to be an admin for the board to change that, and possibly a site or org admin, depending on your permissions.

If you want to delete them you'll need to select "view all" (you need to be an admin to see that) and then you can move/delete/copy any existing board.
