Is it possible to copy parent's component & version while creating sub-task?
You can do it with JIRA Misc Workflow Extensions. Use the "Set Field Value from Parent" postfunction in the create transition of the subtask.
What will be the order of Component field in postfunction?
Is it:
1Creates the issue originally.
— THEN
2The value(s) of field Component/s will be set from the issue's parent (replacing existing values).
Edit | Move Up | Move Down | Delete
— THEN
3Fire a Issue Created event that can be processed by the listeners.
