Is it possible to create a swim lane base on issuetype?

I have configured the lane on my kanban board using the query issuetype = bug, but this settting is not reflecting in my board. Any tips what may be the problem? Thanks.

Are your "bug" issue types sub-task types?  You can't swimlane sub-tasks out from under their parent issues.

Make sure that your query for bug is Bug, since Jira is case sensitive. Also, make sure that there are issues that are indeed bugs.
