Is it possible to hide issues from an issue type to another issue type under the same project?

Hello,

I tried doing this using the Issue Security Level, but I think the restriction is set by project only? Or is there a way to do it by issue type under the same project?

For example, I have "Issue Type A" and "Issue Type B" under "MyProject". I want Issue Type A to not see the issues under Issue Type B.

Hi Aira,

if I understoof it correctly the objective is to prevent one or more group(s)/role(s) to see issues having a special Issue Type, for example "Issue Type B". Out of the box this is not possible as the Issue Security Level applies to all Issue Types in a projects - but not just a specific one.

In that case a few options are possible. You could split up projects or try to achieve the requirement using a specialized App or even custom code.

Cheers,
Daniel

Hi Daniel,

I solved it by using the ScriptRunner post function where I can set an issue security level depending on issue type upon issue creation.
