Hi

I am interested to know if  it is possible to link the issue i

Jira Cloud with Issue Jira Server.

How can we Integrate Jira Cloud with Jira Server?

How can we secure the integration?

Hi @Kvalitet center, thanks for the question.

This is Umer, PMM for Backbone Issue Sync for Jira. From what I gathered, you want to integrate and keep issues synced between your Jira Cloud and Jira Server instances.

For this purpose, Backbone Issue Sync for Jira would be a perfect solution!  You can use Backbone to connect the Server and Cloud instances (both uni-directionally or bi-directionally) and automatically keep all issues in sync and updated in real-time on both instances. All issue types, custom fields, and workflows can be synced across instances.

The app has a simple UI, quick setup, and needs no scripting! If required, easy in-app troubleshooting and our support team will always be there to help.

Feel free to visit our landing page for more info on the Jira issue sync capabilities of Backbone. Or simply schedule a demo with us so we can show you around the app and answer your questions.

hi @Kvalitet center

I am part of iDalko - the developers of Exalate.

You can easily integrate Jira Cloud and Jira Server using a plugin like Exalate. About how you can secure it, well you would need to provide more details about exactly what your security concerns are. Is it about having the data encrypted in transit? Or is it about what data the other side is able to see?

Thanks

Majid

Hi,

Thanks for your quick response.

Do I have to install this extension on both server and cloud?

Yes, indeed. The app is totally decentralized and each side of the integration can control it autonomously.

Thanks

Hi @Kvalitet center

As already mentioned by other commenters - there are a few applications that can solve your use case. One of them is Issue Sync for Jira (developed by the team I'm part of), which enables single and bidirectional synchronization between Cloud and DC hostings. It automatically creates issues in the remote instance and copies elements as fields, comments, attachments, or statuses, and keeps them in sync also when their values change.
When it comes to security - in Issue Sync admin of each synchronized instance decides which elements will be exposed and the synchronization partner doesn't see anything more than that. There is also a possibility to change the exposed status and field names if their names should remain confidential.

If that's something that possibly solves your use case - feel free to test the app for free or book a free demo session.

Best regards,
Kasia from Deviniti

@Kvalitet center hello! It is possible. There is more than one way to do that. If you check the Atlassian marketplace you'll find tools that can help with your use case. One of them is ZigiOps. It's a fully no-code integration solution, highly secure (does not save any of your data at all), easy to use, and scalable. It connects Jira and Azure in no time and syncs the data you want. Feel free to look at it!

Regards, Diana (ZigiOps)
