I have created user-stories in JIRA dashboard. But, at the time discussion we realized that two of the stories created are quite small and can be merged.
Linking the stories is not an option I want to choose.

Please suggest ways where I can actually merge user-stories..

Welcome to the community, @Pranjali Kulkarni.

I am Marlene from codefortynine.

If this is a one time situation, I would recommend the same as @Michel Neeser.

If you have to do this on a regular basis, you can check out the Atlassian Marketplace for some merge apps.

We also provide an app called Merge Agent for Jira, that enables to merge two or more issues including issue content.

Hi @Pranjali Kulkarni

If I understand your requirement correctly, probably the easiest approach is to just manually copy the relevant content from the first user story ticket to the second one. There is no automated way to do this, because Jira is not able to "guess" what you'd like to merge.

Hope this helps!

Welcome to the community, @Pranjali Kulkarni.

The simple answer is, no. However, It would be helpful to know whether you are on Jira Server, Data Center or Cloud — just in case someone knows a clever workaround. (Sadly, I do not.)
