Is it possible to restrict components field name with only predefined names

Anyone can share me your ideologies, Is it possible to restrict components field name with only predefined names. Do not allow free text values like numbers and symbols.

Hi Srikanth, and welcome to Community!

To clarify, you need to have the project-specific Administer Projects permission or the JIRA Administrator permission in order to create a new component or edit the name of the component.

Can you just make sure that your project admin and jira admin are following your conventions?
