Is it possible to see the work items flagged in the list view?

I need my team to see the tasks that are flagged in the list view. Is there any way to do this? It won't let me add it as a new column. Can you think of any other alternatives?

Thank you very much!

Hi @María Ferreño Serra  👋

That’s a great question — and you’re right, the Flagged field currently can’t be added as a column in the new list view.
It’s a known limitation in Jira Cloud’s list experience.

You can still work around it in a few ways:

  • 🧩 Use a filter with Flagged is not EMPTY to list all flagged issues. (You can customize this JQL with AND, OR operators for your wish.)

  • 📊 Add that filter to a dashboard gadget for quick visibility.
  • ⚙️ If you have Advanced Roadmaps, you can add “Flagged” as a column there.

Hope this helps! 🙂

Thanks! Yes ,they are the workaround we are using it, but some users prefer to use the list view :S

Hi @María Ferreño Serra

If you are open to try out a mktplace solution for this need, I can suggest

Issue Hierarchy

The app allows you to view your issues in a list view with the ability to add "Flagged" column. Also the app provides a hierarchical view too along with %complete progress at each parent level. The app can be added to a dashboard as well.

Hi @María Ferreño Serra,

As others have pointed out already, there's ways to get there using JQL filters or Advanced Roadmaps.

If you want a more powerful approach while keeping a list-like experience, and if you're open to solutions from the Atlassian Marketplace, you may want to have a look at the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your Jira data that allows viewing, inline-editing, copy-pasting, sorting, and filtering by all your work items' fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel, Google Sheets, Smartsheet, or Airtable. It also comes with a long list of further features, including support for the "Flagged" field, conditional formatting and many more. This is what it looks like in action:

This is really just one of a virtually endless number of possible views and reports; you have full control over which data you want to show and highlight.

Any questions just let me know,

Best,

Lukas

Hi @María Ferreño Serra

That would be a great feature proposition! Currently, in the list view, this cannot be added, but what I would recommend instead is to use the format rules where you can based on the query, the one that @Ali Umut Terzi suggested to be applied to across either your row or the column.

Thanks!!! Do you know if there is a request that we can vote for that? I know a lot of people from my team that we will love it!
