Is it possible to set swimlane columns depending on your role?

For the swimlanes we now have 3 colums:

1. to do
2. in progress
3. done

Is it possible to keep this setup for developers, but add a column for the project manager role? So the way you view the swimlanes columns depends on the role you have in Jira?

Hi Deborah,

Swimlanes can be based on queries which determine which cards show in the Swimlanes. If there are no cards that meet the query parameters then the Swimlane will not appear. 

So if you have a Swimlane that is based on the assignee being a particular project manager, then you can have the Swimlane show cards there.

However, you cannot alter which columns show on the board. You would need a different board to show a fourth column.

Nope. You can rather create 2 boards and have permissions accordingly so that respective users see those boards.
