We've installed the Service Desk add-on on prem and we like it. However, due to significant cost benefit, we'd like to utilize the cloud version of Jira Service Desk. Is this possible? We're using on-prem Jira v7.6.1 and Confluence 6.5.2.
Yes, you can move over to Cloud for JSD. It will, of course, be separate to your Server installs of Jira and Confluence. I'd usually recommend that you don't try to run two Jira services alongside each other if the data is better shared.
Thanks Nic. To clarify, you're saying it's possible to run Jira SD in the cloud, while retaining its relationship with on-prem Jira Software (creating linked tickets), and on-prem Confluence (kb search in JSD)?
