My development team is using Scrum board to develop the company's product.
However, as with any company, issues that need to be responded urgently continue to occur.
For example, Bug fixing issues, Issues in consultation on new features and so on..
I think these issues should be managed by Kanban board rather than Scrum board.
Developers want to work while looking at only one board, but adding these issues to the Scrum board makes it difficult to manage the backlog of Product.
Is there any best practices to manage both Kanban and Scrum board for one team?
Thanks
Hi @J B ,
If your teams want to have one single board, I'd suggest to define two swimlanes in your Jira board, e.g. one for 'planned dev work' and another for 'bug fixing'. You can use labels, e.g. 'scrum' and 'kanban' respectively. If you don't size your bugs/'kanban items', this wouldn't affect your team velocity, and you can always roll over the unfinished bugs to the next sprint.
How do I create two swimlanes on an one board? I tried but didn't figure out

Hi JB, are you using team-managed projects? If so, there is an open feature request to support swimlanes (you can vote here): https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSWCLOUD-17580
