Is there a limit of number of projects that can be created in an instance?

Hi I'm working in an instance (cloud) that has Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Jira Work Managment, it's standard and PMs asked me if there is a limit in the number of projects that can be created. 

I hope you can help me with this one.

For Data Center 

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-67279 is one example of problems when there are many projects

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-66940 is another example

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-63784 is yet another

and I would expect that similar issues could apply in Cloud.

If pressed I'd suggest under 1000 projects is good

Hi @Sofia Grunspan 

No there is no limit per se but having too many projects is rather undesirable. It will result in confusion for users (if most user are allowed to browse most projects), hard to maintain, etc.
