Is there a way to bulk change the xray change test type?

I have some tests that have "Manual" classification but I want to change it to "Automatic" (approximately 100 tickets)

The only way available to Bulk update Xray issues would be using the importer as explained on the official app documentation

By setting up the csv file you should be able to do it quicker than one by one directly on JIRA:
