Is there a way to change the colours allocated, when grouping by projects in Jira Plans?

Hi there,

Within Jira Plans (previously Advanced Roadmaps and Portfolio if you've been around for a while) you can group by projects, which is really useful. The only thing that gets me is that the work items from certain projects get Green and red allocated to them and to some users suggest they're 'Done' (for green bars) or at risk of(red).

Is there a way to change the colours allocated to the timeline bars for each project?

Hi @Stuart Capel - London ! Nice to meet you out here for a change !

I am afraid not - or at least not directly - to answer your question. For some specific use cases, colours can be defined as you can see in this example (colouring by labels):

If colours are customisable, you would see this custom option. Project does not offer this option.

The example I showed in my screenshot does open up the possibility of a sneaky workaround, of course. Should you label all issues in the same project, you could use that instead to achieve the desired result. But that would be just an workaround, not the direct solution you were after, I guess ...

Hope this helps!

Hi Walter,

Long time listener, haven't called in for a while :)

I had a feeling that might be the case, I might see if I can build a Forge app to allow it!
