Is there a way to configure a custom field on Create Issue, or within the JIRA, so that the end user can't click on the drop down for it, but I can? I have a dropdown custom field that I need in the JIRA to link with another system, but I don't want any clients to see it as the dropdown shows other projects they don't need to know about. Is there any way to make a custom field only visible to me and not the end user? Thanks!
You can use javascript to show Hide field in Jira Form. Need help let me know.
Not natively, because Jira doesn't do field level security.
See jira.atlassian.com/browse/jra-1330 , but also look for the Behaviours plugin which makes setting this up a LOT more easy than writing your own javascript or custom fields https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/JBHV/JIRA+Behaviours+Plugin
