Is there a way to display only one issue type on issue creation?

I have an issue type scheme assigned to a project with multiple issue types. When I create an issue, I only want one issue type from the issue type scheme to be displayed in the issue type drop-down. Is this possible?

I don't think so; however, you can put a script validator on the "Create" transition such that they get an error if they try selecting any but the permitted type.

Instead of restricting it, can you just create another Issue Type Scheme with just your wanted Issue Type on it?
