Is there a way to display the updated dev complete date as and when the user makes updates to it?

Is there a way to display the updated dev complete date as and when the user makes updates to it?
For ex: dev complete date entered when the epic was created is 8/31/2023. It gets updated to 9/15/2023 on 9/1/2023 as it is delayed. In order to find out the modified date, I need to look into the history. Otherwise, I do not know whether it was changed or is it the original date. Is there a way to display the original as well as modified date as a query? or display it as a separate column with the modified values along with the original?

Appreciated if it can be done without creating a custom field and listener script.

Hi @Sudheer Kumar

No, it cannot be done with a scripted field. Usual way would be to copy/display the previous value to that field. BTW if this field is modified more than once then do you just want to track the last one?

What is your use case with this field? Is it some milestone that you want to track to calculate variance?

- If you don't want this field to change then remove it from the edit screen and make it available on a transition screen with only limited people to update it using a workflow condition.

- You can also make the whole issue uneditable for certain roles for some workflow states.

Regards,

Ravi
